Dubbed a "one man band for the new century," Keller Williams will bring his eclectic music to McDonald Theatre this week. Williams, who is touring in support of his first studio album, Home, is known not only for the successful single, "Love Handles," but also for his syndicated radio show, "Keller's Cellar: Somewhat Rule-less Radio," featuring a variety of songs that mirror Williams' equally diverse musical tastes. This week's performance promises to be a fun one, with a mixture of Williams' awe-inspiring guitar work and laughter-inspiring wit. See Thursday, March 25 Calendar.

Friends and supporters of local activist Peg Morton have an opportunity to show their support this week, at Peg's Prison Preparation Party, held at Cozmic Pizza. The party will include costumes, live music, a seed swap and give-away, an open mic and a silent auction to raise funds for Morton's legal expenses. See Sunday Calendar.

The UO's Faculty Artists Series spills over with pizzazz this week, when faculty jazz pianist Toby Koenigsberg (pictured) presents a full evening of selections at Beall Concert Hall. Eugene's own Koenigsberg, a UO assistant professor of jazz piano, has received several music awards and has performed with renowned jazz musicians such as Marian McPartland and Rich Perry. The performance includes original music by Koenigsberg as well as jazz standards. Fellow musicians Tim Willcox, Tyler Abbott, Dave Captein and Jason Palmer also join Koenigsberg for the evening. See Thursday, April 1 Calendar.

Andy Friedman (pictured) is living proof that art can be found just about anywhere. The 29-year-old Brooklyn artist appears in clubs and bars across the nation, coaxing profound beauty out of nothing but a slide projector, some pencil drawings and photographs — and his own imagination. Friedman's poetic monologue accompanies the slide show, which he presents in bars and clubs nationwide. The cool, quirky performance has earned him praise from all corners of the country and the art world, from The New Yorker to Nashville Scene. See Friday Calendar..
