A Winnie-the-Pooh Birthday Tail Opens Tuesday, July 11 at the Mad Duckling Theatre on the UO campus

Evita Opens Thursday, July 13 at Actors Cabaret of Eugene

Both beloved and hated, Argentina's complex and controversial Eva Perón is the subject of this musical that chronicles her life from her poor upbringing as an illegitimate child and fame as a B-picture actress to life as the wife of Argentinean president and dictator Juan Perón. The Jungle Book Opens Thursday, July 13 at Actors Cabaret of Eugene Academy Youth Stage

"It's the bare necessities, the simple bare necessities; look on the sunny side of life …" Yep, the Disneyfied Rudyard Kipling story comes to Eugene, with Mowgli, the good Baloo, the ssssssssssssssscary Kaa and grrrrrrowly Shere Khan, not to mention Bagheera, King Louie and Mowgli's new buddy Shanti. "Too darn hot, it's too darn hot … " Cole Porter and William Shakespeare? Seems less bizarre post-Shakespeare in Love. This, er, immortal musical features a somewhat-updated-but-still-pretty-battle-of-the-sexes-oriented storyline that follows a production of The Taming of the Shrew.
