Eugene Weekly : Calendar : 5.20.10

.This Week's Calendar | Galleries | Music @ the Clubs

Deadline for Calendar and Art in the Galleries submissions are noon on Thursday, a week before the issue that covers your event. Send an e-mail with event, date, time, location and cost to attend to cal@eugeneweekly.com

If you’re looking for a heady dose of avant-garde artistry and queer-tabulous empowerment, look no further than Friday’s OUT/LOUD Queer Music Festival, which features a fantastic group of musicians and writers whose united front could knock the knickers off Glenn Beck’s blaring bigotry. The out-and-loud lineup includes anti-oppression actor/monologist/filmmaker Ignacio Rivera, the “one fag army” of mandolin maven Pegasissy, singer/songwriter Pamela Means and solo artist Virginia Cohen. Things get underway at 8pm at WOW Hall, and will run you a mere $5.
