Eugene Weekly : Calendar : 10.21.10

.This Week's Calendar | Galleries | Music @ the Clubs

Deadline for Calendar and Art in the Galleries submissions are noon on Thursday, a week before the issue that covers your event. Send an e-mail with event, date, time, location and cost to attend to cal@eugeneweekly.com

Looking for a new creep show to kick off this season of scare? Shot in Eugene and Coburg by local director Scott Phillips, Crowbar: The Movie is a thriller with the stark, brooding atmospherics (and bloody mayhem) of John Carpenter’s Halloween and the classic horror film set-up of a young couple relocating to a new town where things slowly reveal themselves to be a bit off, to say the least. The movie, which is being release by Sean Schoppe’s Eugene-based Over the Line Films, features such Oregon bred talent as Natasha Timpani (as Veronica Stark) and Charlene Westbrook (as Julie), and is currently on a “Eugene Media Tour” — which means you can catch the world debut of Crowbar at 8pm Saturday at McDonald Theatre. $8; take a gander at www.crowbarthemovie.com
