Eugene Weekly : Calendar : 12.2.10

.This Week's Calendar | Galleries | Music @ the Clubs

Deadline for Calendar and Art in the Galleries submissions are noon on Thursday, a week before the issue that covers your event. Send an e-mail with event, date, time, location and cost to attend to cal@eugeneweekly.com

Among the myriad spectral/aural/gustatory pleasures that are the staple of the First Friday ArtWalk, this month’s voyeuristic stroll includes a kick-off for the OPUS VII “Of Words & Music” series, which features the works of legendary Eugene author and countercultural figure Ken Kesey. Readings by local writers, improv jazz and an exhibit from Kesey’s collection of typewritten manuscripts, artwork, letters & more will be featured, all starting at 5:30 pm. For more info about all the galleries involved, visit www.lanearts.org or see Thursday’s listing.
