.This Week's Calendar | Galleries | Music @ the Clubs

Deadline for Calendar and Art in the Galleries submissions are noon on Thursday, a week before the issue that covers your event. Send an e-mail with event, date, time, location and cost to attend to cal@eugeneweekly.com

On top of graduation, this weekend marks Arts & Culture Weekend at UO. Both the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art and the Museum of Natural and Cultural History are suspending admission costs from 11 am to 5 pm, Friday through Sunday.

The Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art will also host a Friday evening event, Museum After Hours, featuring food, drinks, the music of Jessie Marquez and the museums exhibits. At 7pm, the museum will host a tour of "Diaspora, Identity and Race: Cuba Today,” which closes June 13. "Mocasas (Flies),” the image right, is part of that exhibit.

At the Museum of Natural and Cultural History, a Weekend Trunk Show Event will feature a different local artist each day, plus artist demos including macro nature photography, creating sterling silver jewelry from twigs and leaves, and wrapping native stones with wire.
