Opening Nights

Hair  Opens at Actors Cabaret of Eugene Friday, June 20.

Hippies. Love beads. Anti-war protests. Free love. Naked people. OK, maybe the last isn’t the big draw, but you know from it that we’re not talking Saturday Market; we’re talking a musical that has sold out every run at ACE, a musical that celebrates the Age of Aquarius like no other (yes, we now have the song running through our heads). If you’re not tempted yet, the show’s full name is Hair: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical. What else do you need to know? Show dates are June 20-21 & 27-28 and July 2, 3, 5, 11 & 12. Tix at www.actorscabaret.org or 683-4368.

The Importance of Being Earnest Opens at Bethel Community Park Saturday, June 21.

Roving Park Players’ second (free!) performance takes place all over town. The classic Oscar Wilde play of malapropisms, misappropriation and mis-understandings hits the “stage” outdoors — hope for good weather! Show dates are June 21 & 22 at Bethel Community Park; 26 & 27 at the Campbell Senior Center; 28 & 29 at Island Park in Springfield. More info at www.rovingparkplayers.org
