It’s been over 15 years since alt-folk star Shawn Colvin’s (multiple) Grammy-winning song “Sunny Came Home” blasted across airwaves, and she’s been busy ever since. With eight studio albums under her belt, including 2012’s Nashville-produced and critically acclaimed All Fall Down, Colvin brings her seasoned Americana act to McDonald Theatre Dec. 6.

Humbug: After a month of fundraising shows, the Grrrlz Rock moneybox containing over $1,000 was stolen from the WOW Hall parking lot in November. Keep your eyes peeled for a box covered with purple Grrrlz Rock stickers. If found, please return the box and/or funds to WOW Hall or contact Matrisha Armitage at 968-6438. “Even getting just the box back would be amazing, it has sentimental value to our group,” Armitage writes. Want to make up for this Scrooge? The group is accepting donations payable to “GRRRLZ ROCK” at 35 E. 40th Ave., Eugene, OR 97405.

Nothing says “Happy Holidays” like shredding on a violin. Maude Kerns Art Center brings rock violinist Aaron Meyer and his six-piece band to the Unitarian Universalist Church (1685 W. 13th Ave.) for a holiday fundraising concert 7 to 9 pm Dec. 7. Wine, beer and food provided, $15 adv., $20 door. Tickets available at mkartcenter.org.

Don’t miss: the annual holiday show hosted by the Imperial Sovereign Court of the Emerald Empire (the oldest LGBT org in the area) to fundraise for the kids of Centro Latino Americano 7 pm Dec. 7 at Luckey’s; Portuguese Fado crooner Ramana Vieira 8 pm Dec. 8 at Axe & Fiddle.
