Mark your calendars: Legendary hardcore punk band DRI returns to Eugene April 21 at The Boreal; tickets on sale now (theboreal.com). Also, Seattle indie-rockers Chastity Belt’s Feb. 28 show looks like it will sell out. Get on those tickets if you haven’t already. You don’t want to sleep on that show, Eugene.

This week, FREE is a beautiful number, and that’s exactly how much it costs to see Seattle indie-folk rockers The Cave Singers 9 pm Thursday, Feb. 25, in Hi-Fi Music Hall’s “Lo-Fi Lounge.” 

The night before, Feb. 24, Toronto’s electronic hip-hop group Keys N Krates brings its Midnite Mass tour to 7 pm at the McDonald Theatre; $25, 16-plus. 

Also on Wednesday, Feb. 24, Old Nick’s Pub welcomes infamous ’90s-era rock band Supersuckers alongside Yawpers and long-time Eugene punk band Soothesayers 9 pm Wednesday, Feb. 24; $12 adv., $15 door, 21-plus. Yawpers is touring in support of its Bloodshot Records debut, American Man.

Sean Rowe brings his menacing baritone back to Eugene 9:30 pm Friday, Feb. 19, at Sam Bond’s; $10 adv., $12 door, 21-plus. Also appearing is Portland’s dreamy psychedelic-pop act Ezza Rose Band.

Old-timey jazz and country singer Jolie Holland performs 9:30 pm Thursday, Feb. 18, at Cozmic; $12 adv., $15 door, 21-plus.

Portland newgrass band Left Coast Country plays twice in the Eugene area — first at 9 pm Wednesday, Feb. 24, at Sam Bond’s ($5) and then the next night at Cottage Grove’s Axe & Fiddle; FREE. Both shows are 21-plus. Left Coast Country is touring in support of its upcoming full-length Pines Fly By.

On Feb. 24, the Jeff Austin Band (formerly of Yonder Mountain String Band) plays 9 pm at WOW Hall; $17 adv., $20 door, all-ages. Next up at WOW Hall, rapper TroyBoi comes all the way from London to appear alongside Bohemian Dub Orchestra and Bedroom Trax at 9 pm Friday, Feb. 26;  $18, all ages. 

New York synth-pop band Joywave returns to Eugene in support of Metric (see music shorts) Feb. 20 at McDonald Theatre. Metric, a band responsible for some of the best indie pop songwriting of the past decade, is touring in support of last year’s fantastic release Pagans in Vegas.

“For a band that’s been on the road and played some cities 10 times,” Metric vocalist Emily Haynes tells EW, “for us to have our first concert [in Eugene] now, we’re gonna make up for lost time.” — William Kennedy
