This annual event features the best in Northwest culinary delights and beverages, plus toe-tapping music from 5 Guys Named Moe. Price of admission includes samples of wine, ciders, brews and cocktails, food and entertainment. Each Pairings! ticket includes a one-day, free admission to come back to the Oregon State Fair, which runs August 24 through September 3.

Tucker's Cupboard, a local non profit providing comfort measures for canines in the Cottage Grove area is hosting a K9 Pool Party.  August 25th, 1 to 3 p.m. at the Warren Daugherty Aquatic Center, 1440 S 8th St, Cottage Grove.  All well socialized and water loving dogs are welcome.  Cost is $20 and all dogs receive a free goody bag.  All proceeds go to help dogs in our area.  Info @ tuckerscupboard.org

SAFSquatch Scurry – Evening Trail Run

On September 21st, the Oregon Society of American Foresters will host its first annual evening trail run, the SAFsquatch Scurry. Run with a forester on a 5k or 10k race, both starting and ending in Peavy Arboretum. Funds raised will benefit the Oregon Society of American Foresters, which is the largest state affiliate of the national Society of American Foresters, representing over 800 Oregonians in forestry and natural resources professions.
