2nd Annual Growl to Garden Mile Race and Beer Fest
August 18 • 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm
The G2G Mile is an event that celebrates the union of two cultures that define Eugene’s unique identity: running and craft beer. To combine the best parts of these, the G2G Mile will host a festival featuring local breweries, cider houses, and wineries at the finish of a bar-to-bar mile race running from Tap and Growler to Beergarden along 5th St. This event is made possible by the collaboration between the owners of Tap and Growler and Beergarden and the neighboring businesses that value the importance of providing a community-driven event, as well as the rich history of running that only exists in Eugene.
ABOUT THE BEER FEST: The Growl to Garden Beer Fest will be held in the abundant and blooming nursery at Gray’s Garden Center. The Fest will feature local breweries, cider houses, and wineries along with live entertainment all day. And our favorite food carts will be stationed in the nursery, including Bounty Meat & Cheese. Grab a G2G Pint glass and 4 drink tickets with each entry. Good for beer samples and full pints, wine, cider, and N/A options, too!
Corwin Bolt and the Wing Nuts, 2-3:45pm
Caught in the Act DJ, 3:45-6pm
Mile Race, 4pm and Awards Ceremony to follow
ABOUT THE MILE RACE: The Growl to Garden Road Mile is a chance to run a mile down Eugene’s 5th Avenue. Starting on Pearl Street between 3rd Ave and 4th Ave, the course passes Tap & Growler before it makes its only turn onto 5th. From there, it’s a straight shot down the Avenue where it passes beergarden and finishes at 5th and Adams.
