An*Ten*Nae & Releece with Anubis
April 26 • 8:00 pm• $13 - $15
On Thursday, April 26, the Community Center for the Performing Arts and University of Oregon Campus Radio 88.1 FM KWVA proudly welcome An*Ten*Nae and Releece back to the WOW Hall along with special guest Anubis.
An*Ten*Nae is one of San Francisco’s most sought after DJs and live performers. He has taken the art of live remixing to new heights with his own customized setup that bends genres into a sound called Acid Crunk, and there are no rules or restraints in its quest for pure bass devastation. “This Oakland/San Francisco based producer has been on the game for over ten years, starting out producing everything from electronica, to breaks, to dubstep, and creating his own staple in the bass music realm dubbed ‘Acid Crunk’,” reports Run The Trap. “He is what we call a ‘Trendsetter’ in the world of Bass Music.” Transmitting and remixing music on the fly, An*Ten*Nae is able to transcend above the constraints of music rigidity and transmit bass heavy, crunked out beats of the highest order. His genre bending “Acid Crunk compilations” have set the standard and defined an era with over 1,000,000 downloads. In 2009 Acid Crunk Vol. 2 maintained the # 1 seller in the Dubstep, Electronica and Chillout genres simultaneously while also having all 14 tracks in their respective genre’s Top 10, as well as rocking the charts on iTunes, Juno Digital and a host of other sites.
Known for sexy soundscapes, Releece is one-half of the duo Dimond Saints (An*Ten*Nae is the other half). California bred, Releece is no stranger to the conscious movement. When not touring as Dimond Saints, he is deep in the studio exploring sonic realms. His quest is to create hypnotic soundscapes that Releece refers to as “silky lullabies”. Both of his parents have long been devoted to the healing arts, which has provided insight and inspiration into the healing powers of music. Dedicating the last decade to production, Releece pulls from elements of Asian, reggae and hip-hop, transporting the listener to worlds far and wide.
Tickets are $13 in advance, $15 day of show, and are available at UO Ticket Office, WOW Hall and www.ticketweb.com. Doors open at 8:00 pm and showtime is 9:00.
