Black Latina the Play

October 19 • 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Free

Black Latina the Play is the journey of one woman’s struggle to identify with two heritages, two cultures: Afrodescendent and Latinx. Tackling external factors (such as society and the media) and internal factors (such as the opinions of family and friends). A one-woman show, Black Latina the Play shares a first-hand look at the experiences and emotions of people who are constantly overlooked. Black Latina the Play goes beyond the “traditional” black/white ideas of racism in the US to exposes the complex & internalized biases found among African Americans, Hispanics, and Black Latinx.
