An event every week that begins at 4:00pm on Thursday, repeating until December 6, 2018
Participants are guided through dance and movement exercises and explorations that build camaraderie, physical awareness, and expressive capabilities. The DanceAbility method is a contemporary dance practice and always ensures that nobody is isolated, regardless of abilities or disabilities. Classes are led by Master DanceAbility teacher, Jana Meszaros and assisted by members of the DanceAbility performance company.
For these classes, non-disabled siblings of participants with disabilities are encouraged and welcome to join. People without disabilities who are interested in the magical experience of connecting through creative movement and the study of improvisation are encouraged and welcome to attend, alongside those with disabilities.
Classes are $80-$100 sliding scales for a 10-week session. Full and partial scholarships are available to all who need them, and nobody will be turned away due to financial hardship. Drop-ins ($10 per class or by donation) are welcome too.
