December 9 • 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm• $20
A comfortable, friendly opportunity to respectfully explore aging, serious illness, dying, care of the dead, and what these may mean to each of us as humans.
Come with your curiosity, perhaps a question or two, and a willingness to listen more than you share. Be prepared to risk a bit of uneasiness as we contemplate these life-realities in order to become more comfortable with them.
We come together as a whole to acknowledge the importance of these topics – to ourselves and to the greater society – then break into small groups to focus on the area each group chooses. We finish with silence to ponder what we’ve experienced and what that may mean in our life/lives.
Each participant is provided with a DeathChats Reflection Guide for use during and after each event.
Please note that this is not grief support (ask me about separate grief support groups and individual sessions), nor is it therapy of any kind. If you are feeling tender about any of the topics we could be discussing, call in advance so we can decide whether DeathChat is a good fit for you at this time.
Location is centrally located for Eugene/Springfield and for Lane County. Free parking. Space is limited, so please RSVP at (541) 255-7116.
