DRINKING FROM THE WELL: Gathering for the Sacred Work of Grief
July 22 • 10:00 am - 6:00 pm• $50 – $100
If you are feeling sadness, fear, and overwhelm from the depth of social injustice and ecological devastation in our world, and/or other more personal griefs, please join us in this event inspired by the traditional grief rituals of the Dagara tribe of West Africa and drawing richly from the work of Francis Weller, Michael Meade, Joanna Macy, and Dagara healer Sobonfu Some’. Through ritual, rhythm, poetry, song, and alchemical empathy, we will share a sudden village from which to share, metabolize, and transmute our grief. Gathering together in community to release what we have been carrying alone builds resilience and vitality to guide and support us through these turbulent times.
