Heather Keizur w/Steve Christofferson: ” A Nite in Paris”

October 27 • 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm

“Celebrating romance in both English and French, Heather Keizur stands out from the crowd in a refreshing and powerful way. “Heather sings like there’s no tomorrow,” says Christofferson, whose piano, melodica, and vocals add remarkable depth and surprise to their one-heart, one-mind presentations. This show will include classic French chansons as well as much loved American songbook standards and many more in between. Keizur and Christofferson will whisk you away to a Paris-like place with their music that is at once passionate, romantic, cheeky and sexy.

David K. Mathews, pianist for Santana, describes Keizur and Christofferson as, “Two friends…making music together, informed by a common sensibilité. The passionate chanteuse, enamored with songs of love, and the exquisite pianist, weaving a subtle tapestry of sound around the poignant lyrics and melodies. I’m certain that I’m not alone in hearing something unique, something magical.”

Malcolm Holt of The Georgia Straight Jazz Society wrote, “Heather wowed the Jazz Society crowd with a whole new level of sultry, expressive, and romantic classic ballads, jazz standards and authentic French chansons. She combined these with her expressive stage presentation and interplay with Steve Christofferson. For many, it was the jazz highlight of the season.”
