Howlin Dogma are past winners for the “Best Blues Song of the Year”, two years in a row for their song Toke Of Rhythm. 2008 AMMA, & 2009 GMMA. That’s the “American Marijuana Music Awards” and the “Global Marijuana Music Awards”.
Howlin Dogma was formed in 2001. The first CD “All Mine” was released in 2005. They have been playing gigs and touring to various parts of California, Oregon and Nevada for music events. Howlin Dogma are working to do their part in bringing, and keeping “Live Music” LIVE everywhere they go. By staying true to themselves, they’re working to represent the “ROOTS” of where music culture came from. They’ve never lost their vision for what a great Blues ‘n Boogie band should represent. Front man Walter Herleman otherwise know as the “Reverend”, has an extraordinary amount of energy and style. Howlin’ Dogma is a Blues n’ Boogie, Roots Rock party band. With original songs that take you where you’ve never been before, they’ll make you get up and dance the night away. The outstanding talent that Rev. Walter and his band mates bring to you every time they hit the stage is Phenomenal. Walter-front man, producer, writer of this upbeat style blues is from the Eastern Sierra mountains of California. He has a style all his own. His vocals and harmonica are not of the average performer. He will blow your mind with his incredible vocals, harmonica and song writing abilities. Each member of the band are all seasoned and professional musicians. This isn’t your typical “Retro” type blues band. So if you get a chance to see them live, you really should!
