Lance Canales and The Flood
Performing on Sunday, June 24th Downtown Roseburg
Umpqua Watersheds, a local non-profit conservation and environmental organization that is “dedicated to the protection and restoration of the ecosystems of the Umpqua watershed and beyond through education, training, and advocacy”, will have the first “Outback Event” of the summer behind Old Soul Pizza, 525 SE Main Street in Roseburg.
Lance Canales & The Flood are a roots-blues influenced Americana trio from California’s breadbasket, where Canales lived the life that so many songs have been written about since the birth of roots music – hard labor, one room shacks and taunting ghosts whispering of a better life. Canales’ guttural vocals combine a hard-edged storytelling approach beneath a stripped down, foot-stomping, acoustic instrumentation. The Flood are made up of stand up bassist, Jake (Cobra) Finney and American Roots drummer (DB) Daniel Burt. https://www.lancecanalesandtheflood.com/
100% of the proceeds will go to support environmental education programs in Douglas County. Over the last three years, Umpqua Watersheds has invested over $50,000 to support environmental education programs in our community including giving every 5th grader in the county an opportunity to visit Crater Lake National Park, sponsoring Science Fridays in schools and providing scholarships for students at Umpqua Community College.
This event is possible because of generous donations from Old Soul Pizza, Two-Shy Brewing, KQUA 99.7 and Umpqua Watersheds.
