Metamorphose Earth Day Event

“Join St. Vincent de Paul for their fifth annual Earth Day event, Metamorphose! With collaborating partners BRING, Materials Exchange Center for Community Arts (MECCA), OSLP Arts & Culture, Eugene Science Center, and many more, this event looks to provide a space for the public to learn about and engage with nonprofits, Lane County agencies, and local businesses on how they are working toward being more sustainable and how you can help! Doors open to the public for the free daytime portion, noon until five, starting the event OSLP Arts & Culture along with Levi’s present their denim design challenge followed by ENVIA Fashion’s spring line debut. Interact with our exhibitors, vote on MECCA and BRING’s design challenges, and learn from our free lecture hall on what belongs in your recycling bin. Don’t forget the kids! Eugene Science Center, MECCA, and Coconut Bliss will be providing free indoor activities for the kids throughout the daytime portion of Metamorphose. LTD will provide free day passes to guests of this event, travel from Metamorphose to Eugene’s many Earth Day weekend events for free with Lane Transit District!
Our main hall doors will close at 5PM as we transform for the Metamorphose Fashion Show, an upcycled spectacle of ten local designer’s creations from scrap material. Entry for the fashion show begins at six o’clock with tickets priced at $6 for adults and $4 for children and seniors. Join hosts Rick Dancer and Mitra DeMirza as we travel through the creative processes of our designers and take in the twenty themed outfits they have spent months working on. At the end of the night our celebrity judges will consider your votes while they decide who created the most innovative and fashionable outfit on the runway!”
