Songs have always been there for Moorea Masa (pronounced More-ray-uh Mah-sa), being raised in the musical mecca of Portland, Oregon. The daughter of an Italian immigrant father and an African-American mother born abroad, this singer/songwriter/guitarist has been making music for as long as she can remember. At fifteen, she was already looking for chances to perform by sneaking into local clubs, where she was lovingly adopted into the vibrant community of Portland musicians. Moorea then left to study at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts in England, and spent time living in a cave and soaking in flamenco music in Granada, Spain.
Eclectic Soul singer born and raised in Los Angeles, Raquel Rodriguez and crew deliver music with a soulful LA sound that commands the stage. Raquel’s live show is engaging and a crowd favorite at clubs and festivals across the country. With a potent blend of 70’s funk, 80’s pop, and 90’s R&B, she serves up sassy, heartfelt vocals that caught the ears of a number of artists. Whether it’s singing background vocals for artists like Gwen Stefani and Anderson .Paak, opening for bands like Robert Randolph & The Family Band, recording and collaborating with artists such as Moby and Break Science (Adam Deitch, Borahm Lee), she does it all! The LA soulstress has also received airplay and support from music and culture tastemaker Garth Trinidad, DJ at top ranking NPR station KCRW.
