Native Plant Sale at Buford Park

Grow a piece of Pisgah at Home! Visit our beautiful Native Plant Nursery in Buford Park!

Gardeners can expect to find a selection of over 60 species of native plants for sale. There will be a wide variety of beautiful wildflowers to choose from, such as bleeding heart (Dicentra formosa) with its pink heart-shaped flowers; tall larkspur (Delphinium trolliifolium) with its elegant purple flowers on tall stalks; orange and yellow western columbine (Aquilegia formosa) that is a hummingbird magnet; and the monarch’s favorite, showy milkweed (Asclepias speciosa).

You’ll also find historically important plants like camas (Camassia leichtlinii) and elegant tarweed (Madia elegans), used by the Native Americans in the Willamette Valley. There will be also be grasses and shrubs available that enjoy a variety of growing conditions.

Staff and knowledgeable volunteers will be on hand at the sale to help shoppers select the right plant for their space and discover some of the lesser-known native species available.
