Oregon State University’s Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Keynote Address

January 21 • 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Free

The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration commemorates the legacy of Dr. King and allows the Oregon State community to reflect on his work in today’s context through engaging workshops, presentations and service opportunities.

The celebration’s keynote address features Sybrina Fulton, mother of Trayvon Martin, advocate and author of Rest in Power: The Enduring Life of Trayvon Martin.  Since the 2012 death of her 17-year-old son during a violent confrontation, Fulton has become an inspiring spokesperson for parents and concerned citizens across the country.

In its 37th year, the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration is Oregon State University’s longest running annual event focused on social justice and transformative change. Tickets are required for the keynote session.
