Oregon Writers’ Collective Series
April 4 • 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm• Free
I don’t know about you, but nothing sounds better right now than relaxing with a good book or, even better, going to a live reading. If that’s also right up your alley, Old Nick’s Pub has an event on Tuesday, April 3, that you won’t want to miss. The venue is hosting the Oregon Writers’ Collective Reading Series. The event features readings from local writers Michelle Penaloza, James Gapinski, Wayne Harrison and Carl Swart. It will also feature a reading from visiting poet Diana Arterian who was born and raised in Arizona and is currently a doctoral candidate at the University of Southern California, according to her website. Her newest book, Playing Monster :: Seiche, was published last year and is the work she will be reading from. Playing Monster :: Seiche is “a piece of noir poetics. It is memoir. It is documentary,” her site says.
The Oregon Writers’ Collective Reading Series is 6 to 9 pm on Tuesday, April 3, at Old Nick’s Pub (211 Washington Street). The event is FREE. — Meerah Powell
