Learn hot to make a quilt from start to finish
Jewel Box Pattern

This is a five session class where you will take home a mostly completed quilt at the end of the series. Each class session will cover the different steps in making a quilt including design and cutting, making the blocks, assembling the top, basting the quilt together, quilting on a standard home machine, and finally binding your quilt.

We will be using some cool techniques to piece the blocks more efficiently and add to the learning possibilities. There is some homework required to complete the quilt.

You should have your own sewing machine, but you may rent one from MECCA if you do not. Cutting mats, rulers, and rotary cutters will be available, but please bring your own if you have them. Please indicate whether you have a sewing machine upon registration.

You should be comfortable with the operation of a sewing machine and standard quilting cutting tools and methods.

Instructor: Barbara DiJeannene

The class fee is $50, payable upon registration. The maximum class size is 6-8 people.
