University Forum Presents Oregon on Fire: Ecology and Policy
April 22 • 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm• Free
University Forum will host an expert panel of fire scientists, land managers and civic leaders spotlighting the current state of science and practical steps that can be taken to reduce the impact of very large fires to Oregon communities and wildlands. Panelists will present their work and discuss:
- What needs to change in our approach to wildland fire management?
- How can public health and safety concerns be addressed?
- What actions will promote resilience of Oregon’s fire-adapted forests?
Audience participants will be invited to ask questions of the panel in a moderated format. This free event, open to all members of the public, is a community service of Oregon Forensics.
