Walk for Justice
January 19 • 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm• Free
You are invited to walk the labyrinth at Saint Mary’s Episcopal Church with a special focus on Justice (aligned with the MLK Holiday). Labyrinths have been utilized across many cultures and religions over the centuries, such as the Nascan civilization in Peru around 500 BCE; the Hopi Indians of North America; and the early Lapps in the Baltic Area.
The event is open to anyone and will begin with a centering meditation, followed by entering the labyrinth, walking to the center, resting in the center, and exiting the labyrinth. The labyrinth walk will be followed by a period of silent meditation and a closing prayer. Members of the labyrinth committee will serve as guides and answer questions.
The Saint Mary’s Labyrinth is located upstairs at the church in Berktold Hall. An usher will be downstairs to let guests in.
Contact Geoff Colvin (email@example.com) with any questions before the event.
