Weekend Meditation Retreat
June 2 • 9:00 am - 5:00 pm
An event every day that begins at 9:00am, repeating until June 3, 2018
“…to wake up from the dream of bewilderment and suffering, we first need to sit still and take a deep breath. Meditation is that deep breath, a way to strip away the chaos of bewilderment and find some basic sanity… with this healthy sense of self we can look more deeply into the meaning of our being.”
– Sakyong Mipham, Rinpoche
This full-weekend retreat offers us the chance to relax and settle in to deeper layers of our meditation practice. Meditators of any tradition or experience level are welcome. Basic meditation instruction is available for those who request it – if you have never meditated before, please contact us to arrange initial meditation instruction.
We’ll begin and end each day with a short set of traditional group chants. Each day will include periods of sitting and walking meditation, as well as select Dharma readings. We’ll break for lunch at noon — please provide your own lunch or snack for this program.
This is a wonderful way to practice deeply, investigate your mind and infuse your life with gratitude and gentleness.
