Yachats Celtic Music Festival
November 9 • 12:00 pm - November 11 • 4:00 pm• Free – $95.00
The Yachats Celtic Music Festival opens for its 18th year on Friday November 9, 2018 at the Yachats Commons, and other venues around town. The Festival will continue through the weekend ending Sunday Nov. 11. Plans include day and night time events including, concerts, dances, stories, talks, whisky tastings, workshops, vendors, jam sessions, the sunset ‘Piper on the Point’, plus surprises, with a variety of free and paid activities scheduled. The early Friday noon opening was very popular last year, and that is planned again. This creates an opportunity to enjoy live music and have a Celtic inspired snack or beverage before the afternoon concerts begin. All ages are welcome at most events. The festival’s success is based on local support through sponsorships, publicity, hundreds of donated volunteer hours, and Celtic Music lovers who attend the shows. The YCMF is produced by Polly Plumb Productions, a Yachats based non-profit. http://pollyplumb.org/
On the roster this year is Kevin Carr, Coig, Lisa Lynne & Aryeh Frankfurter, Warbelow Range with Caitlin Warbelow, Open the Door for Three, and The Founding. Kate Horsley, author of a number of books including “ Confessions of a Pagan Nun” is a scheduled special guest speaker. . Caller for the Ceili dance is Elisa Chandler. There will be daily public jam sessions, plus special evening sessions for festival performers to jam together.
Tickets are on sale for All Friday, day and night shows, All Saturday day and night shows, and All Weekend day and night shows. Individual day and evening concert tickets will go on sale soon.
